Salary range: $95,454 - $143,180
Under the general direction of the Deputy Inspector General, Legal/Investigative Unit, and/or the General Counsel, responsibilities include overseeing or conducting assigned investigations, and providing legal guidance.
Duties Shall Include:
Planning and directing confidential investigations and reviews. Reviewing investigative memoranda and preparing Inspector General investigative reports.
Representing the MTA Inspector General in judicial and administrative proceedings.
Researching legal issues and analyzing documents related to investigations.
Drafting memoranda, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
Taking depositions and statements.
Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Inspector General, Legal/Investigative Unit and/or General Counsel, as appropriate.
Graduation from an accredited law school and a minimum of six years legal experience including the supervision of investigations or reviews and the preparation of reports relating thereto, the conduct of trials, motion practice, legal research, brief writing, and appeals, or equivalent.
Admission to the New York Bar.
